Hello everyone

Hi Everybody,

I've been banded since November 17, 2006, at the Toronto LapBand centre. My doctor was Dr Joffe.

I've lost 16lbs to date and still have 35lbs to go. The decision to get banded came when I reached that point in my life where I was sick and tired of losing the weight and gaining it back within a year or so. This was going on for the last 20 years.

My aunt got banded last year and that's when I started my research. I weight 180 lbs, and my bmi was indicating that I was considered obese. With my family history, of cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, knee replacements and hip replacements, I thought to myself THAT'S IT!!!!!!!

I must admit when I first got banded the first week was rough emotionally. I had huge regrets. However, with the concouragement of others I'm fine now.

I look forward to talking to everyone on this forum(first time) and share experiences.

Susan
