Offended? Dating and weight.

A guy I met pre surgery sent me a video of a concert. In the background he was telling his friend about me who I had also met. While describing me he called me "that big girl Kelly". His friend responded with oh yea she's really pretty! He said "she's lost over 50lbs she looks even better now". He doesn't even know I heard this Convo because be was so drunk on the video...

I think I'm offended by the "big girl" comment. But at the same time he's the one who asked me for my number and took me out and asked me out numerous times after (which I now know why my instinct told me no way). If he's the one who asked me out numerous times how much could 50lbs really have bothered him?

Needles to say I feel he's not in that great of shape to be referring to anyone as 'that big girl' lol

    Does he know that you had the surgery? I've been speaking to a guy and he knows how I look because we met 5yrs ago and always kept in touch via FB and IG but now we speak everyday but I don't want to hang out until after my surgery which is this Monday the 8th..he doesn't know I'm having surgery tho. I want to hang out when I've lost a few pounds and feel better about myself.

    He knows be has surgery because its on my Facebook. but I'm not sure if he knows exactly what surgery. I did meet him pre surgery when I actually felt more confident, oddly enough.

    Do you even like this guy? Do you hope you two will get together? If not, then just chalk it up as guys are stupid. I think big girl sounds better than fat girl, so he was trying to be polite. But I don't get the sense you even like him, so it shouldn't really matter.

    "That big girl" could be a compliment in his eyes. Lots of men prefer larger women. LOTS of them.
