My job is fairly physically demanding. I'm on my feet for about 8-10 hours a day. I push heavy fixtures around, lift 30-50lbs fairly regularly. A lot of climbing stairs. Realistically, I know I should take the entire time (I did too much after my C-section and regretted it), but the longer I'm out the more work will be waiting for me when I return!

I absolutely get it. My work is going to be there whether I take 1 week or 6 weeks off. I will only get one shot at this so I am going to take my full allotted time and use it to learn the new me!

Yes, I agree those are much different circumstances than mine. Your body will let you know when you're ready. Good luck!

Ohio sleeve patient checking in. Surgery was done on June 23rd.

I had some pain the first day and was pretty tired the first three days, but I am very lucky that within one week I felt like my old self again except the constant hunger was gone. If you have an office type job I can easily see being back to work in a week.

I have a desk job I work from home and I was working by my 5th post-op day. Granted that's because I work from home, but I felt good. Everyone's journey is different though, and you have to listen to your body.

You and I had very similar experiences. Felt great after a few days and back to work soon after. But I wouldn't of done it if my job was physically demanding. Nice to see you here....how's everything going?

FINALLY got my date!!! 8/25 @11am!!!! So excited!

I live in Columbus. Dr. Sonnanstine at Riverside did my surgery a week ago 6/30/14.

I loved Dr Tom. He is so sincere about helping his patients get their life back. The staff is great and my stay at Riverside was awesome.
