I woke up this morning with either a cold or allergies. If it is a cold will my doctor want to postpone my surgery???

It depends!! It's all up to the anesthesiologist, when I went under I had a stuffy nose and sore throat ... They decided I was well enough since my lungs were clear... I woke up with all my symptoms gone, oh and asthma yay lol !! Weird huh

My allergies were acting up the week of my surgery because they took me off my allergy meds which contained steroids. My primary wouldn't give me anything but told me to take a Claritin and a regular (not D) mucinex. I was fine for surgery.

I'd go to the doctor to see what's going on soon so you can get yourself fixed up by your surgery date. I know here in NJ they are saying allergy season has started and is promised to be a bad one. Might just need some Claritin. Good luck

I had a cold right up to my surgery date, and as long as there is no fever they will proceed. Good luck!!
