I'm interested in having the sleeve done I have an appointment with the surgeon in 2 weeks I'm just hoping my insurance will pay for it

My insurance is empire bcbs and I'm completely covered because my doctor is in-network. If he was out-of-network, they would have paid 90% and I would have been responsible for 10%. . Maybe give them a call and ask. This way there won't be any surprises

I've heard the sleeve is better because they're not adding anything like with the bypass. I have avmed but my pcp has to write a letter explaining why I need the surgery. So I hope all goes through.

Yeah, I decided on the sleeve because it seemed like the safest, most effective option. I really liked not having the malabsorption part of the surgery that you have with gastric bypass.
