I have been working on upping my calories for a couple of months.. I was eating 1200 and NOT losing. I found a plan where you eat more to lose... I have not lost, but have not gained... and eat 4-800 more cals a day. Much better.

there is another forum member who eats well and gives me of maintaining a healthy weight without starving myself...sleeve of steel...i think is her name

I see some people here who are years out eating 800 a day... Im sure they are thinner than I, but it takes 1600 to get enough nutrition to fuel your body without losing muscle 9I have been told) I managed to lose a lot of weight on extra low calories, and ended up training my body to live on less.... I dont think that is really a good idea. People who eat only 800 cals a day to maintain might be labeled with an eating disorder if not for being under a Drs care....I just don't feel so frantic about food when I eat more. I do not want to gain all my weight back, and watch it pretty close... but I have been maintaining now, and am adjusting some things trying to get a little bit more off in a heathy way. I have a fitbit now (just two days) and the last two days (non exercise/gym days) I have been burning 2100 cals a day. I look forward to seeing what that is on my walking and gym days. So eating around 1600 or so on my non exercise days still leaves me with a 500 cal deficit a day. I am NOT losing on this... but I just think if I keep this up I may be able to train my body to not hang on to every calorie so tightly like it has been for the last year. I eat most of the calories I use up on exercise days as well.

anyone a for kale chips? also would like recipes for quinoa...hoping it will be a good substitute for what i rice for.

I have problems with dairy after my sleeve. I have been looking into a Vegan food plan. Posted Vegan topic no replys. It is hard to get Protein without dairy. I am on a new journey of clean eating. Getting off the artifical sweeteners.I do not eat very much processed food and never eat fast food (never did). Keep us posted on your progress..

Use almond milk my sons a vegan u can get plenty of protein in from juicing also I will ask him differant things

green smoothies are a great source of protein, animal free and good for puree stage and beyond. See "green for life". raw food recipes will meet most of the requests here - many are pureed and are focused on a non-animal source of protein. most are without artificial sweeteners too (hate those). they will make your skin super soft and healthy too...

Love Kale chips! I will be so excited when I am allowed to eat them again. I got a second dehydrator so double batches are in my future!
