I just called my insurance and was told I was approved today. Yes! I had to tell someone.
It has been a long process, with the 6 month visits and all the pre-op testing. Now, I just have to wait and hear from my surgeon's office to set up a pre-op visit and a surgery date. I called the patient coordinator right after I found out that she should be hearing from my insurance today or early tomorrow, but she hasn't received anything as of yet from them. So excited! It took 1 week to get the insurance approval, after it was submitted. However, it has been a year of getting my head wrapped around the process and actually starting the ball rolling. I look forward to being on the loser's bench.
