Just had my EGD

Just got home from having my EGD. Wasn't too bad. The worst part was having the piece put in my mouth that keeps it open. I am a gagger and started to gag. But they knocked me out pretty quick. I have a slight sore throat. Like a 1 out of 10 on the pain scale. 13 days to go!!

I am dreading this. I am super claustrophobic and have anxiety...I try not to think about it bc I can make myself ill just contemplating it!

It wasn't bad at all.

I agree it wasn't bad at all. The worst part for me was getting the IV started. Afterwards my jaw was sore from the piece they put in your mouth to keep it open (I have TMJ), but that was it! They sprayed some numbing spray into my mouth and the next thing I knew they were waking me up!

My throat has gotten sore as the day has progressed. But that's the worst of it.
