Hi there everyone!!

I am new to this site. I am anxiously awaiting my banding on 11/20. My insurance company United denied approval for my surgery, but I don't have a choice. This is a do or die situation. I must do this if I want to live. 15k is nothing compared to death.

Welcome to LBT! Whilst it does suck that your insurance won't pay, you're making a great investment in your health by getting the band. Nov 20th will be here in no time. Do you have any special pre op diet that you have to follow?

I have to do liquid protein for two meals a day until then. I am trying out the flavors to see which ones I like. I am excited!!

Hey Maggie, how are ya? My surgery is also on 11/20 I have been patienly waiting but I dont know how much longer I can deal with it so it better hurry up and get here, hahaha...Also, I am self pay as well...I work as a nanny so have an individual health plan that does not cover it...Mine is 17k...But my future, health and happiness is priceless...Good luck to us!!!!!!!
