5 Weeks PostOp

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and I'm excited to be a part of it.

I was 5 weeks postop on February 6.

I've lost 30 pounds so far, but I've been stuck at 250 for about a week and a half.

I'm trying not to get discouraged (or be irrational), but is it possible to hit a plateau so soon?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello and welcome to the losers bench. I am only 9 days post op but have seen a lot of people hitting stalls even at 3 weeks post op. Seems to be a very normal thing. Congratulations on your 30 lbs loss! That's awesome. For what I gather,we hit stalls to allow our bodies to catch up with the weight loss we have had. Some say up ur calories a little or up ur protein intake and this may jump start losing again. Good luck to you and great job.

Thank you skinnygirlinside!! :)

I hit my protein goal everyday, so I'm thinking maybe up the activity?

It's just been so cold and gross outside. No excuses!!!!

Good luck to you on your journey!

I stalled at 250 also it will pass be patient your body is adjusting. I was not getting enough calories in when I increased them or hit my daily mark of 800 It broke and I lost weight again. Also water is very important , make sure you get all that in. Oh and I was constipated! If your not going get a laxative to help.

Keep up the great work :)
