Scared.

I have been approved. I go to my final preop appointment February 13th. I should get my surgery date then. We are looking at March 13th. I am terrified of going under. I am a single mom, I am the only one my daughter has. Well, I have family but I am the only parent. I always felt as if something was going to go wrong, it would go wrong for me before anyone else. Am I just being paranoid?

Yes, you are being paranoid. There are risks in every surgery, but hopefully you have done your research on your Dr. It is your job to ensure they do their research on you. You must be forthright in all of your information regarding your medical history. Holding something back because you are embarrassed can only do you harm.

There are complications associated with this surgery, so be sure to ask your Dr what their track records is. How many leaks have their patients had? What do they do for follow-up to check for leaks?

You're going to wake up, don't worry.

I have felt the same way . I do not know why . My surgeon just did the same surgery on 2 of my coworkers and they are fine .
