The first consult...

I had my first consult today, and it was wonderful. I've written more about it in my journal here.

For those of you contemplating being banded, I think it's advisable to find a surgeon who has done many of these procedures. I found Dr. Curry, and I'm so glad that I did.

I should have my surgery date around the third week in January. I'll post my date when I find out what it is.

Wow. I'm so excited!! I'm thinking that I'll FINALLY stop the process of losing weight and then gaining it all back -- over and over and over again.

This is gonna work for me just fine!

Yeah you!

I love the feeling of hope I've had ever since I made the decision to be banded. Like FINALLY, something is going to work.

You hit the nail on the head. Hope. That's what I'm feeling. Every time I started a new diet I never felt hope, because in the back of my mind I thought I would eventually fail.

This time is different.
