I've thought about it. I would wait longer though. It's pretty hard core. I would begin more with cardio/lifting weights or getting a personal trainer for a while first before jumping into Crossfit. I'm 6 months out and beginning to look at it now. I've been with a personal trainer 3x week since I was cleared for exercise - I've lost 78 pounds so far (262lb to 184).

I have a friend who does it and loves it, but she's not a surgery patient. We converted our media/movie room in our house into our exercise room. We love it and use it every day!

I don't know how heavy you are. I started out doing milder exercise and have worked up to hard/intense workouts over a period of year. But, I started out over 300# and have knee issues. My strategy has paid off - so far no injuries and I am fairly fit. My lumps and bumps remaining are mostly awaiting plastics to go away....

I was thinking it may be too intense for early on. I think the trainer may be the way to go. I have stuff at home but I need the accountability. Thanks y'all!

I'm 8 months out and down 75 lbs been in the gym since the day the doc said i could!!! It was almost impossible to sit on the potty for three days! Good luck!!!

I Live for crossfit lol. I did it prior surgery (nov) and have been back at it since December I see major improvements and my body is losing inches like crazy!!!

no need to wait.... in fact waiting may make it harder in the long run... we need to be building lean muscle mass while losing the fat, not waiting til after to do it..

of course it will be hard at first..but in no time, you will be a master at it
