I have had my band for 4 years and now that I have lost the weight my port is protruding past my ribcage. It was placed higher than normal and sticks out like a third breast.

It is time for a tummy tuck and was hoping to find a surgeon who could move the port and do the tuck at the same time but am running into difficulty.

Has anyone had this experience?

I'm worried that once I get skinny my port will stick out. My doctor said for $500 I could get a thinner port that won't stick out as far. This thinner port might be an option for you to consider.

Yes,

I have the lowprofile port and they are wonderful and very easy to change. I would have it done at the same time and you won't have to have an extra surgery.
