Does exercizing really tone?

My surgery date is Jan 22nd and I've been wondering what will happen to my loose skin as I lose weight. My plan is to get a personal trainer to help me tone up. Will this really work or is it wishful thinking?

I had my surgery last year in march and I go to the gym 6 days a week. I workout out different parts of my body on different days. My arms and legs have toned up really good but i am having trouble with my ab area still. I dont know if its just how my body wants to respond or not but for the most part you should be able to tone up pretty well with the right exercises and foods. As far as the loose skin goes we kind of have to deal with it but for some you won't have any at all. Good luck on your surgery, it will be the best thing you can do for yourself, I love it!

yes it does!!!! it helped me avoid arm and thigh plastic surgery!!! i just had booblift and a much needed bidy lift 10 days ago. the rest was fine!!
