Yep, if you didn't get a nutritional guideline, ask for one. It's an important part of the healing process.

That said, despite three weeks on liquids (ten days on clears) and getting the okay to start soft/mushy foods after three weeks, I didn't eat anything more "normal" than cottage cheese, cream of wheat, yogurt or Soup for a while. I just didn't have room and didn't have the desire to eat.
