I don't think u need to take them out. All they need is to be able to get to ur scull..I was also told to take my nail polish off my middle fingers. But becuz I was told when I got there n not before, I couldn't remove it due to the fact that I do gel manicure. It's not easy to remove it. They were able to put the clip on my big toe instead of on my middle finger
