Need Buddies & Mentors feeling alone

Hello I am 6 weeks out. Live in Maui. No real support group here. Would really like some buddies or menotors to help me through this. How much support to you get from your Doctor/ dietcian? Taking it step by step but want to reach my goals. Have a long way to go.

  • I have found more support and resources on here than I ever have for my doc/nut.

  • Honestly there's a really good support system here where I had my surgery, but this site as made everything real and tolerable. It's the best. (:

Hi! I was sleeved on Nov 30. I could just use some stories of what kind of things you go through with the sleeve and what to expect. My support group is an hour away and because my work sometimes conflicts with the meeting i could use a little more reugular support.

Thanks for all your help in advance

Thank you. I guess this is a step by step process. Please feel free to add me as a friend would like to gain as much knowledge as I can

I don't know how to use this site very well. But I am in college and it is difficult to not feel so alone. I had the surgery 6 months or so ago.

I also wonder if any women here have been diagnosed with PCOS.

I'm not sure how to use this site either. I haven't had my surgery yet it will be in feb. and I was looking up on the computer about it and found this app. But I have not been able to figure this out I need a computer for dummies book or something. I just like reading things on here and seeing what I will go through.

Hi Soulcyster. I do have PCOS have been through everything. Before deciding to get the sleeve I went to a PCOS specialist for 2 years in Orlando. All in all I lost 10 pounds, tried shots, meds, weight watchers, Jenny Craig, atkins you name it I did it. When I moved here I knew I had to do something for my health had 2 heartattck scares and my bp was off the charts. You know with PCOS heartattacks and strokes are common. There is a pcos group here but...they are so quiet. Contact me any time we have our own challanges but we can do this best of luck!

Great support on here ! Have been able to do searches to get info on various issues and the people have been great. I am 4 months out on 1/10. Are you using my fitness pal ?

Best of luck to everyone! I was sleeved September 10th and have a wealth of knowledge to share too. No one is alone when they come to this site, just keep reading!!

Hi SoulCyster,

I also have PCOS had have tried everything just like Pink Butterfly has mentioned in the past to lose weight. I decided it was time for me, not my PCOS to take control of my life and I was sleeved on 11/15. I'd be happy to be a buddy with you and help you through this as well. Everyone on this site has been so informative and so supportive! It's full of great people willing to offer support and share their experiences! Add me as a friend if you like and reach out anytime!
