Mexican Pharmacies

Has anyone tried to buy other meds while in Mexico?

I am wanting to purchase Provigil while down there.

Is there a way ahead of time to know if I need a Mexican prescription and also are there any issues bringing things across the border?

    I understand that their meds are much cheaper. You would have no issue bringing it back. You could ask your surgeon if he has it in his pharmacy or he could get it for you. If you are going to TJ there are a couple of pharmacies very close by the hotel.

    I've purchased prescriptions meds in Mexico several years ago in Cancun and Cozemel, antibiotics & muscle relaxants. For some reason when I went to Tijuana in October these were only available with a prescription. I'm not sure if the laws have changed or what, but I was surprised.
