It is very scary. But I had mine done 9/12 and I would do it again in a minute!!! Everything will be fine!! I never had one complications. I had myself all worked up over nothing. You will do great!!!

  • Just look at the number of post-op sleever stories on this board! You'll be fine. Also, remember there are a ton of us that would trade places with you in a heartbeat to get it done sooner!

Hi how are you? I was in the same boat you were before my surgery which was November 1st. I was still very anxious even the morning of the procedure as they were prepping me in the hospital that day.

I made it back home okay after surgery today..no complicarions just alot of painful gas in my chest . It has gone away now but comes back once in a while. I thknk its still gas. And it does it when I drink tok..my chest tightens and a gurgle comes up..and then its gone..is this.normal?

Normal. I had the same thing. Still do as far as the gurgling. Now when I gurgle or hiccup I know I am full. It starts to calm to down a bit after a few weeks. Walking helped the gas along with gas x. Good luck and welcome to the bench!!

I still gurgle and internal burps at 7 months out. When I get an uncomfortable sensation of fullness coming on (happens quick) I stop eating, then I hiccup twice and know I'm done. It's weird but I am used to it, so great to have this little internal signal. My family laughs at it but know its normal for me.
