Hey PRE Banders 2

Hey all,

I'm not yet banded, but I've begun my journey with doctors, testing, etc. I can tell you this much: I feel GREAT. I've been in a great mood. I am out there shaking my thing, I'm walking taller and just feel 'giddy'. I suppose b/c I know I'll be loosing soon - and feeling fine. I keep laughing at myself with my clothes saying things like "Ahhhh, if I ruin it - so what - this time next year it won't fit me anyhow"! I'm getting SO excited. Just a few more doctors, and I'll get my approvals I need.

Question is: How are you feeling now that you've started your journey to the band? Are you nervous, anxious, depressed, Excited, silly? For some of us it's a long journey (months) before we can be approved. What keeps us going? Me, knowing I can give away all my 18's!!!!!!!!

Keep your head up pre panders. I like to say "live like your are banded" until you can get yours. Keep on top of your doctors and insurance companies about where is your paper work. They have a tendency to lose things.

tianealperry - thanks for the encouragement. It looks like I am going to need it. I called my insurance company yesterday to see if they had received the info from my surgeon (sent certified mail around Oct 1 and the office had signed confirmation it had been received). I was told they didn't have it but that didn't mean it wasn't there:confused: . The lady was actually pretty nice, she gave me her name and a fax number and told me to have the surgeon fax it to her. I will call Friday to see if they have it. I fear we are following the same path as the previous patient (which took nine months) but I am trying to remain optimistic.

Bands,

Terri

Hey pre-banders! I was with you all just a week ago!

I had a lot of frustration with the process too. I went to the seminar in June, then submitted all the paperwork in July, had to get a doctor's statement in Dallas from an old doctor (long story) which required a trip up there in August, finally got the ball rolling in September, was approved and started all my pre-op testing, and I was banded last Thursday 10/19!

It was worth the wait!

Hang in there and keep calling the insurance company! It will be here before you know it!
