Need Advice

I am 6 days post op my surgery was on 10/29 i received a lot of fluids in the hospital, I hve some swelling and water retention in my legs. I feel blotted all the time. My doc said it will take time I will see him next week, he may give me a water pill to get rid of some water. Anyone experience this. With that being said I have not lost any weight I have gained weight on clear liquids. Today I just started protein drinks:(
