Pre-Surgery Diet

Hello everyone,

My nurse practitioner at my initial day of consulations said that I need to lose 18-22 lbs, but I am having a really hard time getting the weight off. Should I switch to a liquid diet sooner than later? They are talking about surgery in January, but I am nervous that if I don't lose the weight before then that it will push back the surgery date. Any suggestions?

Do you have a nutritionist? I had to lose 36 lbs. and my NUT gave me a great plan, and a fairly easy one at that.

I do have a dietitian, but the plan that she gave me is one that i have followed most of my life and not lost a thing so I am feling a bit frustrated. I am on prednisone so losing weight is very difficult.
