Hello Everyone

I've been reading these threads for several months. Getting sleeved (self-pay) November 16th. Very excited. Been contemplating bariatric surgery for many years now. Have many questions but here are a few:

1) How much weight loss is typical the first 45 days?

2) Does it absolutely have to be 2 weeks of "clear" liquids? (We have a Blendtech blender that pulverized any and all things put in it)

3) I travel a lot. Would it be realistic to fly 3 weeks later?

Like I said, I have lots of questions but figured this was a good start.

Hey there! Well, first of all, how much you lose in the first month or so depends on what you have to lose. If you weigh 400 lbs, you may lose 50 that first month. If you have 80 lbs to lose, you might only lose 15 or 20. It's hard to say. Your diligence will play a part in that of course.

Question 2- It absolutely has to be whatever your surgeon tells you to do. They are all a little different, but you must follow his directions TO THE LETTER for your own safety.

Question 3- No problem. I drove home from Dallas to Albuquerque a week later. I had some help, but did most of the driving.

Ask away.....

Hi allnir getting sleeved for another 8 days. But I saw a colleague today that had surgery 2 or so months ago she does not look like she has lost much , but then she wasn't asbig as i am . Being. Lying if I said that her lack of " see able " weight loss didn't scare me .

Thanks! I will do what the doc says. :-)

I weigh 300 and need to lose 100. I'm just worried about not losing. I've read too many failure stories and it has me nervous. Thanks for the response. It's awesome to have an outlet.
