Doing so much better than I thought. Walked a mile today. Can have protein shake again. Just a little sore.

I reacted to the tape, and have a bit of cellulitis. Waiting for the doc to come and take out the staples. Hoping for some different antibiotics when the doc gets here.

I'm feeling pretty good today. Just sore like another person said up there ^^ I got down one premier protein shake since 7am till 1230 noon I used to finish one in like 2 minutes.lol. And 2 water bottles so far and I'm sipping some broth right now. My stomach keeps making noises though. Not sure if its hungry or what's going on.. Other than that just sore

Hey guys thanks for all the updates! I'm finally going home today. My doc gave me nausea prescription and some other stuff to coat my belly. Warm liquids are my friend the cold Water or even room temperature definitely hurt. I'm excited to get home and rest. U can barely see my incisions they are sealed with glue. This surgery was no joke and I to am having wicked gas pain. I been walking but apparently not as much anyways good luck to all of us praying for great recovery

Just keep walking when you can and that pain will go away. Warm, room temp or cold really doesn't matter. Keeping hydrated does so warm it up if that's what it takes. Sounds like you're doing great. Your positive attitude on this site always cheers me up. Glad to hear that all went well.

hi everyone!

hope everyone is doing good. I was running a fever last night and it started scaring me. i climbed up to100.1. im sooooo nervous about leaks..super afraid. i felt better when i woke up this morning and my fever was gone. back to a normal temp. question to all you 5 day post op sleevers is..are u getting a sharp 2 second pain in the chest area after you drink? i walked a bunch these past few days and havent had any gas pains really. yesterday this pain was frequent, not as bad as today but still there. Is this the dreaded gas pain???? and are u guys still experiencing this?? im not sure how long they usually last. Also, my stomac was making some noises (like growling) earlier today, was scaring me a lil, but then i went to bathroom and finally had a BM (sorry too much info), and then it went away, but have u guys had this growling too? thank u so much for any experience input.. :)

I was sleeved the same day, and this morning my stomach was making those weird noises too and I had a BM.. And my stomach still growls and I have no idea why...

And for the sharp pain I get a sharp pain on one of my left incisions but then it goes away once I lay down

Got sleeved on the 6th so I'm 3 days post op. having trouble getting my protein and fluids down. So far I'm getting about 25 grams of protein and about 32 ounces of water. If I take too big of sip, it really hurts. I feel like all I do is sip, and I'm still only meeting half my goal,. How are you guys doing on this...any tips?

I haven't started trying to get protein yet I am on Clear liquids this week to let my stomach heal! I feel like I sip constantly too! So you are not alone!!

Wow, you folks are doing great.

I was sleeved on the 7th and Im having trouble getting in any liquids, let alone the Protein shakes.

Im lucky to finish a Water bottle in the day.

My pain now is at the incision sites. A few air bubbles here and there that hurt a lot. But that passes.

Great job everyone.

I was sleeved on the 7th as well and I'm not doing so great I still have not got anymore then 1oz of liquids down. I was hoping to be home by Saturday but I'm sure that is not happening.

Yes, I get the short sharp pain in the chest when i drink anything. And yes, my tummy talks quite loudly. I had surgery Nov 5th and have yet to meet my liquid or Protein requirements. Trying to sip on Isopure right now. I couldn't choke down the orange or green tea, but I am trying the grape. Good luck to you!

I,too, get a sharp pain in my chest if I sip too much or too quickly. And my tummy growls and gurgles a lot. I think the chest pain is from taking in air with your sip. I've been walking and that does help. I'm getting in about 24 grams of Protein a day and about 32 ounces of Water...half of what I need to be getting. My worst thing is getting down the supplements. They are just nasty! Every day does seem to be getting a bit better! I just hope these next two weeks pass quickly!
