Is Bending Over Bad? 10/15 Sleeve Date

I think i hurt myself today. I was bending over a lot sorting laundry and moving the piles into the laundry room and when i bent over the last time it felt like my stomach was on fire burning on my right middle. When I laid down it felt better but i dont remember hearing not to bend at the waist....did you?? I was trying to do too much but I didnt lift anything heavy... hopefully its not serious. Its not bothering me at all now but I dont want to sit up to see if its still painful. I just want to take it easy the rest of today since I start work tomorrow.

The same thing happened to me at about 3 -4 weeks in. I was bending down alot picking up my granddaughters toys and such and my stomach hurt for a week later but now it is fine. Mine felt like I pulled a muscle or something but it did go away. Sometimes we feel so good we over due it without even thinking.

Every time you bend over you have to contract your abdominal muscles, so yes take it easy.

Sleeved 10/18 and I have the same problem. Bending over to pick something up hurts. So I'm just taking it easy until I feel ready.

That happened to me when tying my shoes. It hurt for almost 2 weeks & then went away. I am doing Zumba now with no pain at all. I am 7 weeks post-op

The pain is still there but less severe. Hearing all of your stories helps me see a light at the end of the tunnel :) I will only bend at the knees for the next few months so it can heal. Thanks!

I had that pain my second week post op. today I did yoga and I was bending and doing some really weird stuff and had no pain.
