OK...this is how I did it... First save your picture as a jpg document. If you can resize so that they are not huges it is better. The way to do that would depend on your camera software. Next..

Just calling it "pudding" makes it sound yummy to me! :hungry: I can't wait to get some, but will probably have to wait until after I get back home from surgery. WOW, the date is here!!!

Happy Band Day to this week's group!! That means Lois, Angela, Jackye, dpingl, neicyrenee, ME, Kee, Grace and alix (in that order)!! Yeah to us!!!

Hope everyone has been makin' a list (pre-op and post-op) and checkin' it twice!! Don't forget to report back as soon as possible....

AZA--- don't worry, just like JDru, you will still be an Honorary Nov. Bandster...so keep posting here and let us know how things are going, OK?

Good luck to all!! :clap2:

Ok, friends! I've crossed over to the losing side! I was banded on Thursday and am doing very well!

You need to change the title under your screen name to "Current" Bandster, instead of "Future"!!!! YEAH for you!! Thanks for reporting back to us so soon!! How did it go?? Do you have much pain or ?? And you are losing already---how great is that?!! Congratulations!! Keep posting and encouraging, we need you!

dpingl, hang in there!! I think alot of us had to have a cardiac clearance before surgery, at least I did. Unless they find something really bad, I don't think it will keep you from having surgery. And look at it this way, if there is some problem, at least you are getting it checked out early and thoroughly. I have atrial fib as well as 2 bad heart valves that will need to be replaced soon....but they are allowing me to have the surgery!! So I am hopeful for you! Besides, you are one of our "Gang of 3", Nov. 8 Bandsters, so you have to be there with us, y'hear?? Let us know on Monday how it goes, please!! And we will keep you in our prayers this weekend!!

Karen

OHMYGOSH, I forgot about Kim's surgery on Tues, and I probably didn't mention a few others... I need to update my list!! Sorry about that--- good luck to ALL the bandsters having their surgeries this week!!

Yes, I'm going to change my title now! Weee!

The surgery was easy and I was surprised by that. The most difficult part is the gas! Please, walk around to get it moving. I don't have pain from the incisions and am already off the pain medication. It's just the gas that I'm still having to get rid of. So far I've already lost 8 lbs since Thursday's surgery 3 days ago. Not bad!

My mouth is dry, that's about it. I'm happy to be banbed, and am just praying that this tool works well for me in the long run.

Best wishes to those whose turn is coming up this month! May your time be as easy as mine was, or easier, if that's even possible!! :biggrin1:

:) Best Wishes and Good luck to everyone who is being banded this week! Congratulations on the beginning on the start of your new life! :clap2: I am really excited to join you all being banded, my date near the end of November is quickly approaching! My thoughts are with all of you!

I had the surgery thursday morning. It is now Sunday. I feel ok today, but still swollen. I think I pulled a muscle in my side getting out of bed and my back is hurting just from laying down for days.

I totally forgot to have my husband take a picture of me before sugery, so I will today. According to my scales I've have dropped 15 pounds in 4 days. Doesn't that sound like too much? it doesn't feel like it though because I am swollen.

My doctor only requireds clear liquids for 3 days after surgery, so today I had some Gerber's oatmeal and apple sauce...yummy!

My blood sugars have been mostly under 150, but I am still having to take some insulin and probably will until I lose more weight.

I am planning on going back to work tomorrow. I don't see a problem with it.

Here are some of things I found out that help...make sure your sheets are tucked in good use them to pull yourself up to get out of bed...big help.

Have some sugar free candy to suck on or something the first and second day...it helps the dry mouth.

Other than that your sore and tired for a several days...but you get over it.
