Who did you book your flight through? Any recommendations for the cheapest way to fly? Orbitz? Priceline? Thanks...

How far in advance did everyone book them? I'm having surgery in March, so would it be best to wait a couple of months until I booked them? Or the sooner the better?

I went based on things I have read such as the best time to purchase tickets are on Tuesday at 3pm Eastern time and around 42 days in advance, so I actually purchased my tickets on 9/25. Originally I was going to fly out on 11/6 but changed it to flying out on 11/3. I was tracking them for over a month and when I booked that was the cheapest I had seen them.

I booked my tickets 3 weeks out. I decided to have surgery and I wanted it NOW, so 3 weeks out was the soonest that had affordable tickets. I wish I could have booked it for last week because it would all be over and behind me now but the price was about 3 times more Normally I book about 2 months out for regular tickets. And I try to travel on tuesdays and wednesdays because those seem to be the cheapest days, sundays too.
