Patience for Patients

That should be the motto of the pre-fill Lap-Band recipient.

Just keep exercising and eat balanced, but small meals and your weight-loss goal will soon be in sight.

Oh, I am so with you!! I have an appointment for my first fill 6 October, which is exactly 6 weeks to the day of my surgery - you've heard of bandster hell? Well, I am firmly in it - I can eat small amounts of anything I want, and am hungry almost all the time...and I haven't lost anything either - which I know the first 6 weeks are not for that, but I am impatient, too - all the pain is gone, so why am I not losing!!?? Patience is NOT something I have a lot of...lol

I can eat anything and almost as much as i want. Though, less than before the band . So I am living for the fill now ,Just like pre banding I lived for the surgery. I sorta feel like everyone is thinking " Why did she get surgery? We dont see any changes" But they will!!!!! They Will!!!! ( i dont really let what other people think bother me so "they" is really just a metaphor for me.

I know, the waiting is pure he**. I will go find my magic wand for you guys, lol.

...well.....I too 'can eat anything almost as much as I want'....

the wonderful thing is.....it takes WAY LESS than it used to, to be "almost as much as I want'....

lunch today was 1 medium chicken thigh, grilled on the barbie....chopped up with FF mayo and fresh tomato....

then 1/2 cup of the Holy Shredded wheat.....and then for dessert.....another 1/2 cup of the Holy Shredded Wheat....ah....

and now....an hour after (burpp) lunch....that WAS 'as much as I wanted'....and I'm doing fall aerobic gardening workout....

Jack, please say some more about the "Holy Shredded Wheat."

Thanks,

Jo Ann

Yeah, it's like having a new car sitting in the drive but you can't find the keys!!!

I understand......it was such a disappointment when they wheeled me out of the operating room and I was still fat!!! But just be good and follow the rules and you're going to wake up skinny some morning soon.

The light of comprehension dawns....

I had forgotten how efficient Shredded Wheat was for the many ways that you (nearly) described in favor of my years long attraction for old fashioned, sloooow cook oatmeal.

I shall become a new devotee!

Thanks, Jo Ann
