So Upset With Myself

I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and my dr released me to eat anything. So no more liquids or purred food. Yesterday I went crazy. I didn't have large amounts of stuff but last night I ate a bowl of cookie crisp. I wish sometimes I would get sick so I wouldn't want some of those foods. Ugh

Don't worry about what you have done just keep pushing forward. If you dwell on the errors it can hinder the progress. I craved pizza for the longest time and yes I did finally give in and indulge but my sleeve helped keep the amount under control. I do the best that I can with the tools that I have been given but I am human and not always able to say no to my cravings. Best of luck to you.

Btw I wondered about the milk also, my dr says none and I have noticed that it doesn't taste right or good for that matter anymore. Have you noticed that?

Milk in cereal is more comparable to soup or chili than it is to drinking during a meal. If you down the milk left in the bowl after you've eaten all the cereal, then I would call that drinking with a meal, but the small amount of milk in your spoonful of cereal is not. Unless you also consider soup with veggies in it or chili with beans as also being off limits because it is a combination of liquid with solids.

everything tasted different at first... then as the months go by, it turns back to normal again
