Taste Change

How many of you had a change in taste after you were sleeved. I have not been sleeved yet, hoping for April of 2013. But I have been trying out different protein shakes and mix's. I just had a muscle milk vanilla cream that tastes pretty good. I'd like to start buying little bits here and there.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Teri

Congrats on your upcoming surgery next year. Good for you getting prepared!

My tastes changed too. The protein shakes I liked before surgery went in the trash. Just thinking of them make me want to gag. I never thought I would say this but chocolate doesn't interest me any more. And that is huge for me.

9 days out--no serious taste change --yet. when you purchase stuff for sampling, many of the online bariatric sites offer the purchase of single servings so you do not have to spend on full size. GNC will accept returns --even if opened.

I was really surprised after surgery because I thought my tastes would change drastically- but in my experience I have not had issues with this. I'm 6 weeks out and enjoy the same foods I did pre sleeve.

That was a great question Teri because that's me too...now that I've finally decided to be sleeved, I wanna be totally prepared! But I have heard this with many..that ones they liked before and stocked up on got tossed. Hmmm...Maybe we should just buy one of every single flavor and brand out there?! haha
