First Consult With Surgeon Tomorrow!

I'm excited and nervous! LOL I'm probably silly for being nervous but this is the first big step in a major life changing event.

I've been researching everything and I guess my biggest concern right now is that my insurance will have some time consuming requirements. I have a printout of the policy reguarding vsg. I'm just hoping its accurate. If so, I won't have to do a six month diet.

I will update after my appointment tomorrow! :-D

Your surgeon should give you a checklist of requirements. I called my insurance company before my appt. asking what they require for approval. They did say it takes almost a month from when they receive the paperwork from my surgeon until their final approval, so I kept this in mind knowing that the sooner I had taken care of everything on the checklist the sooner I can get my insurance approval and surgery date. It seems like 2 months is the average time from meeting with Bariatric MD. to the date of surgery. I'm so excited! Can't wait - DOS 10/11/12. Peace!
