my surgeon said that the average pouch is the size of a large egg. i feel like mine is much begger. i got banded on 7/26/06 i lost 14 pounds. i was told you should eat til you satisfied and NEVER overeat. he said when you over eat the food just sits in your esophogus. are you loosing weight?

What stage are you on, mushies? I think the average bandster, with good restriction is able to eat about 4-6 oz of food in a sitting. However, I know from my own experience that I was able to eat a great deal more than that prior to getting my fills and restriction. Basically, once you no longer feel hungry, (no, not stuffed, or uncomfortable, just not hungry and comfortable) then it is time to stop eating.

My surgery was Aug. 24, and I will start all foods tomorrow. However, without restriction yet, I know I could eat the same amount as before; but, I have trained myself to eat like I have restriction. I was at this huge mall in Nashville tonight, and I passed right by all my old favorite junk stuff......pretzels, Dippin' Dots, Smokey Mt. Chocolate Factory gourmet caramel apples........and I honestly wasn't even that tempted. I am SOOOOOOO happy that those cravings are going away. I think it's because I've been having NO SUGAR! Woo hoo!!!!

I am 16 days post op. I cant' eat a lot because anytime I eat or drink, I get a cramp in my stomach. They talk about chest pain if we eat too much. I don't have that. The minute I eat over 3 oz of mushies, I get a cramp. Does anyone else experience this?
