OK...so one of the things I am most looking look forward to post-op (surgery is Aug. 28th) is wearing boots.

After more than 30 years of being overweight and more than 20 trucking up 3 flights of stairs in my parents house, my calves don't fit into "regular" knee-high boots. I just want to fit and buy and wear a pair of boots that actually zip up all the way and maybe even, dare I say it...can tuck a pair of jeans into!

Have any of you post-op ladies acheived my dream yet? Just looking for a little Wednesday optimism...

I finally found a pair at Torrid last fall that fit around my calves and had enough give to wear with a pair of jeans tucked in. I wore them maybe 10 times and I'm sure they won't fit again when cool weather rolls around. I'm ok with that, just not all the money I feel like I'm losing. lol However, I am excited to find some new boots this fall or winter because I know I will have plenty more options. I may still have to buy wide calf boots but not even those fit me before. (I have pretty muscular legs too.) Not only more clothing stores to shop at but more shoe stores too! Yay!

I finally was able to buy Uggs!! They are even big around my calves with my jeans tucked in. But I have lost a shoe size since last winter so I'm sure I'll need a new pair.

Oh yes! I can't wait for heels! I have so many in my closet I'm ready to bust out again... I just hope they still fit!

I bought a pair of boots with 4" heels (I'm 6'2") and I feel AMAZING in them--so I say GO FOR IT! I can't wait until it's cool enough to wear them again this year. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
