Question About Gums...

So does anyone else have gum problems? My mouth was very healthy prior to surgery ..gums and teeth etc. My gums now are tender..even when I brush Sometimes I have an ulcer occasionally..I following the prescribed diet and brush twice a day..just wondered if this is a side effect similar to my vision changes that have now returned to normal. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Just calculated my fluid intake at 55.8 oz/day..it could be a bit more because I have a drink of water at night ..I will try and increase my fluid intake..it is hard for me still to get it in..but that isn't too bad. I welcome you advice! Thanks!

I saw someone else mention sore gums before. My gums have always been tender, but it seemed like my whole mouth was achy in the beginning to about 2 months out. Have you been throwing up much? That I would think could also irritate them.

No..I don't throw up but I had GERD before surgery and I was one of the ones whose GERD got worse after surgery..but I take Dexilant 60mg/day and it's under control. So..maybe this is a side effect that will correct its similar to my vision.

I have mouth alcers occasionally but it seems that it is when I have drank my water with the Mio or other floavorings with a lot of citric acid. Pineapple especially bothers me.
