hi, i dont know that doctor, maybe he is new. there are several popular docs that do the lapband in mexico . i used DR HUACUZ, i was very pleased. i think if you read the posts you will hear about many docs. call around and check them out. i had my band a put in a year ago and ive lost 70 lbs. im very pleased but it is a big adjustment. i was afraid it wouldnt work. but, it has been the best thing i have everdone. the first few weeks are the hardest. you have to follow the RULES. cant eat too much or too fast or you will get sick. i did that a couple of times and now i am very careful to eat slow. i dont eat much at all anymore. mostly soup and salads. i do still have a few alcoholic drinks once in a while. not too much or it makes my band feel too tight. so just listen and follow the docs instructions. dr huacuz has a really awesome nutritionist , DR ROMERO , he knows so much about metabolic syndrome . he gave me great advice on what to eat and vitamins to take. i take liquid vitamins and L-CARTININE. he will tell you what to eat and when. they print out a complete guide to go by. i still have mine. they also do your fills. so far ive had 3 and i feel good as long as i get enough protein. i drink atkins protiens shakes daily. good luck. i hope you find a doctor you feel comfortable with. i feel lucky to have had such a good experience.
