Hi Kat,

Wow that is disturbing, why would someone do that? This is such a non threatening site - the good news is you still can read, participate and help :)

Take care

Thanks happy camper

Can only happen to me lol

Hey!

I was just looking you up to see how you were doing and discovered you lost all your previous posts. I can't imagine how that could happen. Weird! Anyway, are you all better now? The last I had heard you had a bad infection. Hope everything is ok now and you're reaping the rewards of your surgery.

Andrea

Hi Andrea

Well I am back on track. I still go to the clinic to get my in is ions packed three times a week but I am told there is light at the end of the tunnel. Six weeks of this so I hope it is getting closer. How are you doing?Kat

Kat, been on vacation so haven't been keeping up. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you are starting to feel some better.

Hi new hope

Sure hope you had a wonderful vacation. I wondered where you were. This week I am doing much better., still have to go get my packing changed three times a week but am getting closer to the end. They figure possibly that this will be my last week of nursing. But I will be left with a nasty scar and hole or dip in my stomach. They said if it bothered me I could have skin grafting as it looks like a bullet hole lol. I told them no way. Only my husband will see it and it will continue to remind me why I went through all this and hopefully stay on track.

I am still having difficulty with food and are trying to get my protei in but that is hard. I am still napping when I get home from work but I do walk for at least fifteen minutes per day. Trying this week to do 1/2 hour.

It is 7 weeks today since my surgery so hopefully I am on the way up lol.

How are you doing? Was it hard being on vacation? Are you eating okay? Fill me in on what has been happening to you.

Until the

Hugs

Kat

Hi

I can't believe it took this long! Wow-you've been thru a lot. I feel really bad that you got stuck with this infection. It was so unavoidable. But at least it's almost over and you should start to reap

The rewards of your hard work. I'm down 52 lbs since January 18th and I feel great. I'm so happy I did this. And I love the forum. A great way to keep each other motivated and learn from others. Stay well!

Hi Andrea 8967

Thank you so much for your kind words. Congratulations and way to go keep it up! That is nice to hear the weight loss. How are you finding eating? Any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am feeling much better and am getting to the end of the packing possibly tomorrow. Yippee seven weeks of h... Done and gone. The scars will be horrible they said but I don't care I will have them with pride knowing that this infection could have killed me if it was not caught in time and for that I will always be thankful. Now maybe I can get my head in gear and concentrate on my new stomach and what I am suppose to be doing. Stay in touch and again thanks.

Kat

So glad to hear you are close to the end of your ordeal. Was this a type of Staph infection? I came down with one of those a few years back and ended up in the hospital 2 weeks. Lots of packing and draining. Still thinking of you often.

Hi Kat, I'm doing really good, thanks. I have been hearing you are doing much better, which is an answered prayer for sure. I still have problems keeping food down at times, especially meat. I am doing at least one 30g Protein shake per day, so that helps.

I am so thankful that you are feeling better. Definitely an answer to prayers.
