I'm Christy, 25, from Los Angeles. I just made my appointment last week, and I'll be banded on September 26th!

I've been overweight since I was 7, and have been actively trying to lose weight since I was about 13 (and all it's gotten me is a new heighest weight). I've finally had it -- I need :help:! My BMI is 35.7 (and I'm prediabeteic), and I hope to lose 80 pounds with the help of my new band!

I'm loving looking around the board at everyone's different experience, and I can't wait to share my own!

Congratulations! This is a great site for info and support. Be sure to browse old threads, and use the "search" feature located along the top of the page...that can help you find info you are looking for! Another tip is to find the Before and After picture thread, and search for all the "bandiversary" posts...you'll get a great idea of why most of us are so happy with our bands!

WELCOME!!!! This is a great place to come and get support. I have had all my questions answered, I now know what to expect, and even have a list for the surgeon before I go home from surgery!!

Common questions: where do i get a ticker? click on mine and it will take you to the tickerfactory, create one then cut and paste it to the signature feature. I used the bb code, then preview and your done after you accept it. Dont forget there is a search feature on the menu bar for things you think of and want to read about. PM me if you need help!!
