I'll telll you my experience with WLS - surgery & immediate recovery in hospital went well. Stayed 2 nights. Unable to drink for a bit - when i could drink, they gave me a teeny, tiny glass (like bathroom dispenser cup) of Water, and that same tiny amount of broth. For me it went down well.

I walked quite a bit, slowly down the hall, this helps to get rid of gas.

i was lucky not to have much pain, no pain meds - you can get very tired for a bit at home - but we are all different in many ways - recovery is also different for all as is weight loss, never compare yourself to others

also, what you should expect after WLS is peace, and happiness but better yet - on the way to good healthy life. Enjoy the long journey for the rest of your life
