First Consult Tomorrow

Hello everyone tomorrow at 11am is my first official appt with the dr. I'm nervous but very excited. I'm nervous he will tell me I can't have the sleeve bc nys medicaid doesn't cover it (I'm not sure if they do I can't find anything that says one way or another). I really dont want bypass but I know I can't just not have anything done that isn't an option. So hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some good news. Fingers crossed!

Well I had my appt today but didn't meet the surgeon because he had an emergency at the hospital. I met with his nurse, the NUT and a chief resident that sometimes works with my surgeon. Didnt find out if nys medicaid covers vsg have to call and talk to insurance lady monday she was out today. But I did find out a 6mth preop isn't required and if I get all my ducks in a row I'm looking at 3 to 4,mths til surgery. I go back in 6wks to see np n nut. Will see my primary to get my work up on aug 10th or sooner. Yay for moving in the right direction. Now just to keep fingers crossed vsg is covered.
