  1. Highest recorded known weight May 2012-353lbs Started the bariatric program July 2012-343lbs Surgery Jan 7 2013-329lbs (preop 326 on my scale morning of) Current July 19 2013-240lbs
  2. Ive lost 85lbs since surgery. Its slowed down some but i am still happy with my progress. I can't wait til im in oneder land. I started in May 2012 at 353lbs, surgery was 329lbs, and now i am 244lbs. Still a ways to go but im getting there
  3. From weeks 5 til 13 I dry heaved every single day over and over. It was awful. I am 6mths out now and feel great! I go for my 6mth chk up Friday.
  4. I cut my hair too! I was losing it like crazy.
  5. Havent posted here in awhile....my surgery was Jan 7th 2013. Highest weight recorded at my bariatric office in July 2012 was 343lbs, surgery weight was 326lbs, current weight 252lbs. Im so excited! I feel great!

  7. I wanted to wear my own pjs in the hosp but with my iv that wasn't possible i had to stick to hosp gowns w snaps so the iv can be fed thru the arm. Even a bathrobe was out bc of the iv. I just had a hosp gown on backward to walk. Edit to add i didnt go to Mexico i just seen the name of topic n responded
  8. They wouldn't let me take a full shower until the day after discharge.
  9. I wanted to wear my own robe n jammies but with an iv it wasnt possible. Slippers n my body pillow n chap stick were my saviors plus my phone charger. Loose fitting clothes to go home.

  11. Hey. Things are good. I'm pretty sore. Mostly from the bruising on my tummy from the heprin shots i got in the hospital, those suck. Im not able to sleep on my side yet so that does suck im not getting much sleep. I am down from day of surgery 20lbs, but ive lost 29 since being home bc i gained 9 in the hosp from fluids. Follow up next wed the 23rd.
  12. Im doin good. Tryin like heck to get my fluids in it is tuff. Sip sip sip. Head hunger sucks!
  13. Im 5 days out... Wed i took in 27 calories, thurs 190 calories, fri 150 calories, today 50 calories....n very little protein, i cant wait for mushie/soft food.
  14. Im 3 days out just got home today from hospital today i was lucky to get 12oz in besides the iv fluids they ran into me until 10am. I need to work on increasing that day by day. Right now i have a ton of gas pain n incision pain/pressure and when i drink my insides cramp up. Ouch.
  15. Hey! Yea surgery was mon, i got out of hospital today. Im doing ok, sipping slowwwwly lol tummy feels like a funnel. Pain is there especially when i get up from standing n when i sit back down.

  17. Doing ok, came home earlier today. A little sore n queasy. Liquid pain meds suck they are gross! Drinking is going ok....very very small sips. When will i start feeling better?

  21. I'm tomorrow too! I didn't have to do clears today or a bowel prep....but im a little nervous that i haven't had to do those.....but im npo after midnight have to be at the hospital at 8 scheduled for 945am.

  23. Eeeeeek! Checked into the hotel to relax (we live 2hrs from the hospital) have to be there at 8am surgery is scheduled for 945am. Can't wait til im on the other side. A little nervous, praying all goes well.
