I really don't know why they haven't eliminated the band. it only makes since that once the band is removed or defective, a person is most likely going to have other complications. I choose the sleeve because it was permanent and not as invasive as the GBS. I know that I will never be able to have another wls so I wanted it to be a permanent tool. Now I have it and I know that it's what I really needed. Before I new about the sleeve, I was looking into a lap band, but now, so happy I choose the sleeve, it has saved my life.

Great read- a few i didn't know about. Wonder how many sleevers will come out in the next few years?

This just gripes my ass!

Although some are criticizing Manzo for taking the "LAZY" route to dropping pounds, lap band surgery is becoming a lot more common these days, especially for overweight people who are not considered obese enough for the much more invasive gastric bypass.

LAZY HELL! Their is nothing lazy about this! We have dieted all our lives and struggled and this isn't a cure all! This don't just fix us. We have to make better choices, exercise, etc.

Sorry but I had to comment and it just really pisses me off.
