Egd A Week Out From Surgery?

Hello everyone. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 6/26. I've started my diet and thought everything was going well. I had my pre-op appointment with the surgeon and bloodwork at the hospital yesterday. During that appointment, I was told I needed an EGD which is scheduled for Monday. That's only 8 days from surgery! I'm so worried that they will find something that will push surgery back. It's a big deal because my insurance is changing on 7/1 and won't cover bariatric surgery the same way so surgery will end up costing about $5k more if it's delayed. My biggest concern is h. pylori and if I'll have to do the two week antibiotic regimen prior to sugery. UGH. I am so incredibly anxious and disappointed to have this thrown at me at what seems like the last minute.

They wont postpone surgery if they find something. My surgery is the 21st and i had my test done today and i have a hernia thing (can't remember the name) and we are still scheduled for the same day. ;) don't worry. Everything will work out for you. Just pray, as will i. Good luck!! June 26th is my bday btw!
