  1. I didn't make it to 216 but I couldn't be happier with where I am. On Labor Day, I was 224.0 and had lost exactly 50 pounds. What a wonderful milestone!! Can't wait to see 216 as that is my pre-pregnancy weight and where I was when I met my husband. After that...onederland will be knocking on my door!
  2. I've totally stalled too. Very frustrating but I'm just moving forward and keeping my fingers crossed that the scale will move eventually!
  3. You look great! Congrats!
  4. I had already set a Labor Day goal for my weight and I'm thrilled to participate! I am at 247 and would like to be 216. I'm only a week post op so I'm not sure how the weight loss will be but I'm setting the goal and will reevaluate if needed. If I can meet it, it will be a huge victory for me as I haven't seen that weight since September 2006. I also want to exercise 4X a week for at least 30 minutes, drink a minimum of 64 oz of water daily, and consume 45 grams of protein daily.
  5. I am one week post op and am SO GLAD that I had surgery! I had minimal issues, just minor pain for a few days. My drain was removed yesterday and I'd say that was the biggest annoyance. I am losing weight and feel really good. No regrets. I think people are more vocal with the negative because it's bad for them and they want to relate to others. It's just how we work. If you read enough, you'll see there are tons of stories like mine with little to no issues or regrets Good luck!!
  6. Congrats! I am pre-op and love these updates just like you did. They give such inspiration! Anyway, congrats again and here's to many more successes!
  7. I can relate to that, but it's amazing how much more energy I've had on my diet than before eating junk. I started on Tuesday. Good luck to you!
  8. Hello everyone. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 6/26. I've started my diet and thought everything was going well. I had my pre-op appointment with the surgeon and bloodwork at the hospital yesterday. During that appointment, I was told I needed an EGD which is scheduled for Monday. That's only 8 days from surgery! I'm so worried that they will find something that will push surgery back. It's a big deal because my insurance is changing on 7/1 and won't cover bariatric surgery the same way so surgery will end up costing about $5k more if it's delayed. My biggest concern is h. pylori and if I'll have to do the two week antibiotic regimen prior to sugery. UGH. I am so incredibly anxious and disappointed to have this thrown at me at what seems like the last minute.
