One Week Post Op Food Ideas

I am one week post op and I am on a full liquid diet. I seriously want to sink my teeth into something... Any idea for meals?

Full liquids I was allowed to have sf Popsicles, sf fudge pops, and sf freezer pops..

Or try making your liquids into little Popsicles. Stick em in an ice tray with a tooth pick (:

At one week I was only allowed clear liquids and protein shakes. It was nice to be able to "chew" SF popsicles. It doesn't last forever. Try not to rush through your food stages. I had a particularly long food progression (couldn't even have cottage cheese until week 8). But I SWEAR it helped break the "head" hunger issues I've had to deal with for years! Good luck!

On full liquids I was allowed greek yogurt and it really made me feel full. I also was allowed cream Soups that had been strained. I like Anderson's Split Pea. It was filling and sat well, which other brands of split pea did not.

I hear ya... I'm one week post op and while I'm not hungry it seems everything I see on TV is food related. I will start pureed next week and am already planning for meals with flavor. I hope to never see jello again!!
