Disability Insurance And Mx Surgery

Did anyone have a problem getting their disability insurance to cover their time off work after surgery in MX?

I had no issue whatsoever. But suspect it varies. I have MetLife thru work. I called a few weeks before surgery and asked. They were clear from the start it wasn't a prob so long as they could contact the dr. My doc in mx (Aceves) had lots of experience dealing with disability claims, so I had no issue at all
