This Surgery Is All I Think About

I'm the type of person that when I get the idea to do something ; I want it done right away ; all I could think about is how much I would enjoy life after surgery & regain confidence in my self ; I can't wait to feel good and energized @ conquer the world ; I know GOD brought me into this world to become great & I feel that with the extra weight stops me from being me / I just spoke to my surgeon and we are almost prepared to send everything off I pray that my approval is quick and easy

Don't wait for the surgery, prepare now - you will feel better, like you are doing something....read the books and get out to the support meetings, etc. Now would be a good time to get back into old

  • @skinnycupcake, I can totally relate! Once I made the decision to have this surgery, it's been ALL I can think about. I want it done yesterday! I'm self-pay, so I don't have to wait for insurance appr

I hope everything goes well for your approval. I still have a ways to go to my goal, but I already have so much more confident and feel much better about myself. Use this time to research this and other sleeve resources so you can know everything going into it. It will help the time go by and get you as prepared as possible.

Now would be a good time to get back into old hobbies you would like to start doing again - a jump start, if you will...

@skinnycupcake, I can totally relate! Once I made the decision to have this surgery, it's been ALL I can think about. I want it done yesterday! I'm self-pay, so I don't have to wait for insurance approval. BUT, since I work for myself I have to wait until my clients pay their bill. And that is so frustrating, cuz it's not like I can really do what I want, which is to say PAY ME MY MONEY!!! Have to preserve the relationship, you know. Sigh...

I'm getting close, though. Just found out the check is in the mail. So as soon as I get it, I can book my surgery. Now it's on me to complete the pre-op...uh-oh!

Me too!! My surgery is scheduled for July 11th and I can't think of anything else. I keep thinking about how much healthier and lighter I will be and I'm ashamed to admit I even do some online window shopping at stores I would have never set foot in before for fear of "too big" alarms going off!

lol its driving me nuts hopfully after i see the surgean 2mm i feel better about it & he sends out all my paperwork

Totally there with you! During work, I'll think a few times about it! Thank goodness my work keeps me very busy so I don't have time to think about it! However, once I'm home, I think about it all the time. I'm on the sites reading and researching! I don't have a lot of patience either. I'm used to making up my mind- work or personal - and taking charge to make it happen. I don't have that same control over this process. So many hoops to jump thru. I'm sure that I will look back though and be grateful for the time that it allowed me to research and prepare mentally! :)

How long has your process taken so far? I hope you get it in July! I'm only just starting out, so I have what seems like forever to wait =\

hey i messaged you

I am the same so I made the choice to do it quickly! I decided to have WLS at the end of April. Made an appointment with a surgeon and met with her on May 7. I confirmed the following day that I would have the surgery and she said they had an available space on May 28th! I started the pre op diet on the 11th and haven't looked back.

how awsome :) im waiting on my insurance ,ive been through the process once & was denied thru another insurance now im under a new one & im hoping it goes by much more quickly & i get approved so i can only look ahead ; did u get sleeved already

Yes, all sleeved and 10 days in feeling great! I am in New Zealand and here we have different systems and with public health care available for all there is not much need for private medical insurance. The surgery is available free in my area for qualifying patients, under public health, but I went for self pay so I wouldn't have to wait as the process can take up to 2 years.
