I realize everyone is different, but how long did it take to not need diabetic, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol pills.

I was weaned off of all 3 of my bp meds at 1 week post op due to bp being too low! Hopefully your bariatric clinic has a bariatrician who specializes in meds, and comorbidities.

I am type 2 diabetic I was taking maximum of diabetic tabs. plus insulin in evening. I was in the hospital 2 days and the day I left I was given 10u insulin and that was the last day! I am 4plus mo. and my morning sugars are around 116 I still take a BP med. but it is now a low dose. The weight loss is a bonus! Good luck to you!

I am still taking my BP meds. Unfortunately because I'm so close to goal and still having BP issues, my doc thinks it is likely hereditary rather than weight-related. My mom, dad and brother all have BP issues too so that would make sense. Luckily I had no other co-morbidities.
