Private Mail Management ???s

Hi all,

My PM box is full. I'd like to move some of the mail to folders - assuming this will free up space to receive new PMs. How do you create the folders to move the mail to? Does anyone have a good system for moving and storing the mail they don't want to delete?

Signed,

Drowning in clutter I'm not ready to let go of !!!!

Help me, help me I'm going down for the last time, glub, glug, sputter, cough!

I want to keep them because they are a journal of my banding experience. They remind me of where I was and what my goals were at the time. Some of them have information, like pictures, that I want to keep.

I hope you don't end up wishing you'd kept some of yours.

I am rapidly getting close to having a full PM box as well Donna... I hope you get some good ideas here! I agree about saving things... I'm a pack rat by nature.

Print them, or copy into word etc and mail them to an outside box. Aka your normal email addy.

I also delete them...

Nana~

One of the options you have is to download them as text and save them to your own computer. Once you've done that, you can delete them. Just moving them to another folder here on LBT doesn't free up any space, I'm afraid.

Speaking of PMs. My little envelope is blinking as if I have new messages, but I dont. I've refreshed the page, closed the browser and come back.. still there.

I delete most of mine but do save a few. As others have suggested, I cut and paste and email it to my home address and then delete here.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Thanks for the definitive answer Alexandra. Since moving them to a folder doesn't open up more space I'll just move the ones I want to keep to my computer. I was hoping there would be a quick solution but, oh well.

Pnut, does your screen really say that? I've been getting some very weird things through the site, but that would top my issues.
