More Protein Question..grr!

During my eating class I took before my surgery, they stressed the importance of having protein that was whey protein isolate, not soy. Whats the difference and is that only for shakes? What about things like protein bars? Does soy isolate count as protein?? Help!

I love soy as well but it has only 5 grams of Protein. What I do is add the whey powder in a blender 46 grams protein to the soy and that way I get 51 grams at a time. Hope this helps. I am just 4 week out myself. ;)
